The Audient ACS8024 takes a whole new approach towards recording in a DAW environment. Combining the analog excellence of the acclaimed ASP 8024 large format recording console with a DAW control surface (either the Digidesign Command 8 or the Mackie Universal Controller), the ACS8024 lets you take advantage of the best of both worlds. Tracking, overdubbing and mixing can all be accomplished with ease using Audient's high resolution fully balanced analog circuitry, while fader automation, plug-in effects, transport control and edit functions are handled by the control surface. Models are available with 24, 36, 48, and 60 analog channels, and producers desk and integrated patchbays are also available. Call today and find out how powerful and affordable the ACS8024 can be for your facility.

The ASP008

asp008_front

asp008+rear

The ASP008 is a compact, 1U rack mount unit featuring eight ultra high quality mic preamplifiers developed from the renowned mic-pre design used in the acclaimed ASP8024 recording console.
The design uses an 8 transistor discrete Class A front end with extended band-width and a noise floor close to the theoretical Johnson limit. Carefully chosen close tolerance components are used to achieve high CMRR at all gain settings and distortion is minimised to less than 0.001% at 20dB gain and +10dBu output. This outstanding technical performance delivers a mic amp with incredible transparency and detail without colouration or other unwanted artefacts.
Each Mic amp also features switchable input impedance, allowing the user to explore the subtle variations in microphone character that are determined by output termination.
All channels include an XLR input, ‘soft start’ 48V phantom power, switchable input impedance, 25-250Hz hi-pass filter as well as line input selection. Channels 1 and 2 also feature a -20dB attenuator and a high-impedance Instrument/DI input on a front panel mounted jack. LEDs provide indication of signal present and overload.
A digital output option is available in addition to the standard balanced analogue outputs, making the ASP008 an ideal “front-end” for any DAW or ProTools system . Discrete Class A front end

The Centro

centro
The Centro is the finishing piece of our modular studio. It is a powerful monitor controller with all the features needed to give the ‘feel’ of working on a large format console. In combination with the ASP008 Mic-Pre and the Sumo, it makes your “in the box” studio on a par with a ‘real’ studio environment.
6 stereo digital inputs, in various formats, 6 stereo analogue inputs, 2 cue mixes, talkback, alternate speaker systems, and speaker management for a 2.1 system, all in an elegant control surface with a single cable leading to the rack-mount ‘brain’.

The Mico

Mico_front

Mico is a compact, feature packed twin Mic Pre with built in ultra-high quality ADCs, making it
an ideal front-end for desk-top users. The front-end design is Audient's renowned balanced
discrete Class A design which is also used in the ASP008 and the ASP8024 mixing console -
guaranteeing outstanding sonic transparency and detail. mico_backMico also features one channel of the unique HMX harmonic sculpting technology from the
Audient Black Pre making the creation of vintage style character and complexity as simple as
turning one knob. For recording a single source with twin mics or mic+DI, the Variphase
control on Mico's second channel allows precise phase alignment (or creative mis-alignment)
of the two signal paths.

WOULD WORK SOUND a full-spectrum audio facility

The ASP008 is great for anything you want to represent honestly. Acoustic guitars, drum overheads and piano are some of the most complex tones, and these pres do an excellent job of bringing out details you might otherwise have to reach for an eq to hear.

Giorgio Bertuccelli, engineer/producer

I love the ASP008 unit.. It is so solid.. Sonically it is thick brad and always reliable . At this price point I cant believe it is not on everyone's set up . We are using it for hats, over heads ,toms and room mics. Also Iused the LowZ input to track guitar into ProTools using Guitar Rig as the amp modeler. I got to tell you the sound is so efficient and precise I love it. The low cut filter is perfect for the not so perfect room we are working in and everything is laid out nicely. I also really love the Dsub in and Out option wiring becomes a total no brainier .and we got on to making music right away .

Brad Stanfield & Elan Trujillo on the Black Series
bard Huge difference! Everybody noticed who heard these, including engineers and musicians clients as well as fans who are neither. Our whole album of 10songs was mastered with the Audient Black EQs. Especially in today's world of online MP3s, it makes a huge difference once the 24 bit AIFFs are converted to MP3 44.1 @ 320 kbps maximum resolution. Fans noticed our MP3s sounded better than most of today's current online music they listen to in the "Indie Modern Retro-Rock" market. They SOUND great! Even when just going through the circuitry with all frequencies at unity, even that sounded better than the original mix bounces
